On Dec. 19, 1934, Emily married Dean Christoffersen in Norfolk. Emily worked as a licensed practical nurse for 20 years at the Norfolk Regional Center. In 1988, she moved to Hastings until moving back in 2005, when she became a resident of the Madison House in Norfolk. Emily is survived by her son, Gary, and his wife, Janet Christoffersen of Great Mills, Md.; three grandsons, Todd Christoffersen of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Paul Christoffersen of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mike Christoffersen of Iowa City, Iowa; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Steve and Keith; three brothers and five sisters.
