Provided by contributer Nancy Lee Huggins (47381098) Obituary: Died at her home Friday night, August 24th, 1900. Mrs. Emily Timmons, wife of George Samuel Briley Huggins. Mrs. Huggins was a model Christian woman. She was a member of Johnsonville Methodist Church. She married 3 times. She first married William Stone: their union was blessed with several children, six of whom are still living. After the death of Mr. Stone, she married Mr. Taylor Eaddy. Their union was blessed with one child who survives her,young Mr. Marvin Eaddy. After the death of Mr. Eaddy, she married Mr. Samuel Huggins, whom she leaves in his declining years to mourn the loss of a devoted companion that had stood by him in sickness and health. She was a kind and affectionate wife, a good mother and a kind neighbor. She is dead, they said to me Cold away they have her lay They smoothed her tresses of hair On her forehead they laid it fair Over her eyes that gazed too much They drew the lids with a gentle touch Over her {bosom} they crossed her hands Come away they said, God understands A short adieu, dear wife And I will be with you To live an eternal life With all the grand and true The remains were interred at Johnsonville Burying ground, Saturday 25th at 3 pm.
