Description	:	Emma Hughes, daughter of John and Martha Hughes, was born near Salem Center, Steuben County, Indiana, on September 29, 1874, and departed this life July 26th, 1937, aged 62 years, 9 months and 27 days. Her early life was spent in the community of her birth, and in her early twenties she was united in marriage to Frank Wolf and spent many years on the farm near Mt. Zion. Read More	Emma Hughes, daughter of John and Martha Hughes, was born near Salem Center, Steuben County, Indiana, on September 29, 1874, and departed this life July 26th, 1937, aged 62 years, 9 months and 27 days. Her early life was spent in the community of her birth, and in her early twenties she was united in marriage to Frank Wolf and spent many years on the farm near Mt. Zion. In later years the family moved to Ashley, Indiana, where she continued to reside until the tragedy of July 24, 1937, which hastened her going from this earthly pilgrimage. She is survived by her husband, five sons; Hazel of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, Waldo and Wayne of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Estol of Detroit, Michigan, and Leo of Mt. Zion. Two step-sons, who shared her motherly love and devotion, Bert and Earl of Pleasant Lake, Indiana. Six brothers, Frank, Burl, Earl, Lester, Sumner and Porter, all of Steuben County, Indiana. Eighteen grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, with many other relatives and friends who shall miss her love, kindness and devotion. Four brothers and three sisters have proceeded her in death. She was an active member of the Eastern Star Lodge at Ashley, Indiana. Attendance at religious services were at Ashley Christian church and Mt. Zion United Brethren church. Truly the shadows of this world have been lengthened, for a mother, wife and friend had gone from us, leaving a place that no other can fill. That respect and love with which she was cherished by her loved ones, now is the book ofyesterday, but memory's page will always light the pathway for tomorrow. Funeral services were conducted from the Mt. Zion United Brethren church Wednesday afternoon, July 28, 1937, with the Rev. Cecil R. Smith the officiating clergyman, and interment was in the cemetery at Mt.
