Description	:	Emma Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Edwards, was born in Osage City, March 25, 1883, and died in Dalhart, Texas, September 28, 1902. She moved to Burlingame with her parents when a child, and resided here until a few months prior to her death. Miss Edwards contracted a severe cold about a year ago, which developed into quick consumption and that disease was the cause of her death. Read More	Emma Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Edwards, was born in Osage City, March 25, 1883, and died in Dalhart, Texas, September 28, 1902. She moved to Burlingame with her parents when a child, and resided here until a few months prior to her death. Miss Edwards contracted a severe cold about a year ago, which developed into quick consumption and that disease was the cause of her death. Last June, she moved with her parents to Texas, with the hope that a change of climate would be beneficial to her health, but nothing could stay the hand of death. The remains were brought to this city for interment and the funeral was held at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Mings, on Thursday at 2:00 o'clock p.m. The services were conducted by Rev. Gill, assisted by the order of the Rathbone Sisters, of which the deceased was a member. The deceased leaves a father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Maud Connors and Edith, and two brothers, Will and Irving. All accompanied the remains home but the sister, Mrs. Connors. It is one of the strange dealings of Providence that one so young and full of promise should be called away. Miss Edwards was a young woman of exceptional ability, and will be missed by many friends.
