Description	:	Emma Estella Whitaker was born December 11, 1869, in West Blue Township, Fillmore County, Nebraska. She passed away at her home near Fairmont, July 4th, 1936, at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 23 days. Her grandmother, Mrs. E.A. Whitaker, was the first woman to take a homestead in Fillmore county, in the year, 1868. Her father, James B. Whitaker, and mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Whitaker, located in Fillmore county in 1866. Read More	Emma Estella Whitaker was born December 11, 1869, in West Blue Township, Fillmore County, Nebraska. She passed away at her home near Fairmont, July 4th, 1936, at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 23 days. Her grandmother, Mrs. E.A. Whitaker, was the first woman to take a homestead in Fillmore county, in the year, 1868. Her father, James B. Whitaker, and mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Whitaker, located in Fillmore county in 1866. Mrs. Hall was the first white girl born in Fillmore county. She was married to Jonathan K. Hall April 17, 1890, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Phillip Schwab. They lived on a farm in West Blue township until 1909, when they moved to their present location, where they have resided the past twenty-six years. Two children were born to this union, Miss Grace Irene, at home, and Earl William of Exeter. Besides the husband and children, she is survived by the daughter-in-law, Mrs. Earl Hall and two grandchildren, Ernest and Leonard Hall; one sister, Mrs. Florence Foster of Beaver Crossing. Her parents, two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Hall was reared in a Christian home and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Fairmont and also the community Goldenrod kensington. She was a loving wife and mother and devoted to her home. She will be greatly missed by relatives and a large circle of friends. The funeral services were held Monday, July 6th, at 3 p.m. at the family home three miles east of Fairmont with her pastor, Rev. Robert L. Embree, in charge. Music was provided by a mixed quartet, Oliver Moul, Mrs. Charles Little, Mrs. Mable Quinlan and W.E. Black, with Mrs. A.A. Ashby at the piano. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery.
