Description	:	Emma daughter of William and Susan Wade was born Oct. 12 1859 in Connecticut and died in hospital in Storm Lake Dec. 4, 1950 at age of 91 years. one month, and 22 days. She was the last of a family of eight children. The family moved to West Union, Iowa in 1862. In 1875 she was united in marriage to Michael Welch, to this union one son was born. In 1913, the family moved to Quimby, where they continued to make their home until the present time. In early life Mrs. Jones became a member of the Methodist church. She was an active member of Royal Neighbors and of the Knights and Ladies of Society. Mrs. Jones was a good friend and neighbor, devoted to her home and family. She will be remembered in the community, because of her hobby of quilt and rug making. Many brides throughout the years have had gifts of her handiwork. She is survived by her husband Isaac; two sons, Roscoe of Storm Lake, and Alva of Cherokee; two grandsons and one granddaughter, all of Cherokee. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist church of Quimby. Rev. Roscoe J. Jerrell officiating. Mrs. Lawrence Bloomquist and Mrs. Ellen Pinkerton sang. accompanied by Mrs. Vera Carnahan. Bearers were Virgil Brown, Victor Stieneke, Oscar Johnson, Allen Erlandson, Aaron Martin, H. V. Riseling.
