They farmed at Kenesaw and Trumbull, then moved to a farm near Doniphan in 1945.She worked as a telephone operator for several years and also operated a restaurant with her father in Davenport.While married, she was a homemaker and helped with the farm work. Mr. Aufdenkamp died July 25, 1966. She then moved to her home in Doniphan, where she lived until July 2001.She then moved to Prairie Winds Assisted Living Home in Doniphan and moved in December 2003 to Hamilton Manor in Aurora.She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Doniphan. She was a well-known baby-sitter, liked to do baking and provided her family and friends with cookies, pies and her coffee cake. She also prepared a Sunday meal for her family until her health would not allow her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband; a stepson, Kenneth Aufdenkamp; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters. - Rose Marie Brown Added: Mar. 17, 2011
