She was raised and educated in Norway, and was united in marriage there to Olaf Trondson on May 21, 1927. They came to the United States that same year and settled on a farm south of Berthold. They farmed in the area until 1953, when they moved to Tioga for a short time, where she operated the cafe. They moved to Burlington in 1956, where they operated Howdy Cafe for a number of years. She was raised and educated in Norway, and was united in marriage there to Olaf Trondson on May 21, 1927. They came to the United States that same year and settled on a farm south of Berthold. They farmed in the area until 1953, when they moved to Tioga for a short time, where she operated the cafe. They moved to Burlington in 1956, where they operated Howdy Cafe for a number of years. He died February 22, 1974. She had lived in the Milton Young Towers for several years, before most recently moving to the Burlington Senior Center. Mrs. Trondson was a life member of the Sons of Norway, and a member of World War I Auxiliary, Trinity Auxiliary, the Burlington Senior Citizens, and St. Joseph's Auxiliary. She had made several trips to Norway to visit family. Supplied by June Schwede Myers Emma O. They farmed in that area until 1953 when they moved to Tioga. They resided there for a short time and she operated a café. They moved to Burlington in 1956 and they operated Howdy Café for a number of years. Her husband died Feb. 22, 1974. She had lived in the Milton Young Towers for several years before moving to the Burlington Senior Center. She had traveled to Norway several times to see her family. She was a life member of the Sons of Norway and a member of the World War Auxiliary l Auxiliary, Trinity Auxiliary and the Burlington Senior Citizens and St. Joseph's Auxiliary. Survivors; Esther Haider, Burlington, Ruth Deaver, Berthold; son Willie, Donnybrook; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Oscar, Deer Lodge, Alberta, Ragnvold and Sverre, both Norway; sisters, Olga and Gudrun Sletaker, both Norway. Funeral: Saturday at 1 p. m. in the Berthold Baptist Church. Burial: Wildrose Cemetery, Cemetery, Berthold. Visitation: Today from 9 to 8:30 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
