Description	:	The following information was provided by GMG: Mrs. O. M. Lanier Abbeville- Emma Lathan Lanier, 93, former Abbeville County teacher, and widow of Oscar McAlister Lanier, died at Monroe Hospital at Ocala, Florida early Friday morning following an extended illness. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Robert and Francis Barron Lathan. She was a teacher in the public schools for over 50 years and had made her home in Calhoun Falls since 1923 and for the past three years had lived in Abbeville. Lanier Abbeville- Emma Lathan Lanier, 93, former Abbeville County teacher, and widow of Oscar McAlister Lanier, died at Monroe Hospital at Ocala, Florida early Friday morning following an extended illness. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Robert and Francis Barron Lathan. She was a member of the Calhoun Falls Presbyterian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Dixon of Columbia, Mrs. Willie Mae Bates of Weirsdale, Fla., and Mrs. Virginia Cook of Abbeville; one son, Robert L. Lanier of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 pm at the Calhoun Falls Presbyterian Church with Dr. J. B. McFerrin and the Rev. Ralph Evans officiating. Burial will be in Long Cane Cemetery at Abbeville. Pallbearers will be Gaines Pettigrew, Jim Hester, Carl Brown, Ralph Martin, Rums Sherrard and Frank Sherrard Jr. Honorary escort will be composed of men of the Calhoun Falls Presbyterian Church and J.T. Clinkscales, J. H. Sherrard, and J. H. Fisher. The body is at the Harris Funeral Home. The family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jim Cook, 125 Henry Street, Abbeville.
