I have transcribed the obituary as written. --------------- Obituary From "Ottumwa Tri-Weekly Courier," Saturday November 26, 1910, Page 5: Emma Louisa Brubaker. Emma Louisa Brubaker was born near Indianola, Warren county, Ia., Nov. 22, 1858 and died Nov. 23, 1910. When she was eighteen years of age she was married to John Leling. To this union was born eight children, one dying in infancy. Those living are Frances, George, Minnie, Ella, Grace, Floyd and John. Besides her children Mrs. Leling leaves an aged mother, two sisters and one brother to mourn her husband, having preceded her death seven years ago. Mrs. Leling grew up in the Catholic faith but poor health for a number of years has prevented her attendance at any church. She was a kind good Christian woman, and in her death her children have lost a devoted mother, her neighbors a sympathetic friend who was every [sic] ready to lend a helping hand to those around her. The funeral was held from the M.E. church Nov. 24 at 2 p.m., Rev. B.G. Hankins officiating. Interment in the Agency cemetery–Contributed.
