Description	:	Obituary: Emma M. Johnson was born April 6, 1895 in Poweshiek county and died Dec. 4, 1906, being 31 years, 7 months, and 28 days of age at the time of her death. She was married to E. E. Martin Dec. 25, 1892 by Rev Melissa Terrell. To them were born five children, two of whom preceeded their Mother to the land beyond. She had that dread disease, consumption, which battles medical skill. Johnson was born April 6, 1895 in Poweshiek county and died Dec. 4, 1906, being 31 years, 7 months, and 28 days of age at the time of her death. She was married to E. E. Martin Dec. 25, 1892 by Rev Melissa Terrell. To them were born five children, two of whom preceeded their Mother to the land beyond. She had that dread disease, consumption, which battles medical skill. March 1906 they went to Nebraska where for a time she seemed to be gaining in health until the dry hot weather of September when she began to fail so fast that they came back, sinse she gradually weakened until death relieved her suffering. She was buried in the Forest Home Cemetery beside her daughter and near an infant son and her Father. Her Mother, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, is an invalid and was unable to attend the funeral, also her, sister, Mrs. Fred Playle, was not able to attend. She leaves a husband, three children, an aged mother, three sisters, and two brothers to mourn her departure beside neighbors and friends.
