Read More	Emma Rita Biederwolf March 11, 1915 - February 07, 2006 Monticello Mourns the Loss of One Who Served Her Community Well Emma Rita Biederwolf, 90, Monticello, died at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2006, in Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. Born March 11, 1915, in Union Township, White County, she was the daughter of Wynnford Bishop Gilbert and Alice G. Malone Gilbert. On August 5, 1934, in Monticello, she was married to George Biederwolf, who preceded in death January 12, 1980. A 1933 graduate of Monticello High School, Emma was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. She was active in the Rainbow group, a senior citizens group at the church. She was also a member of the White County Historical Society and the Twin Lakes Senior Citizens Club. She was a charter member of the Royal Neighbors Club. She was Vice Chairman of the White County Republicans during the 1950's. Also during the 50's, she was the manager of the White County License Branch for 6 years. She was a former member of the White County Memorial Hospital Auxillary, where she served as president in 1978. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for the White County Chapter American Red Cross Blood Drives. She was a member of the Crystal Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Surviving are one son, Paul Biederwolf and his wife, Nancy, of Delphi, IN; one brother, Wynn B. Gilbert and his wife, Virginia, of Monticello, IN; one granddaughter, Anne King and her husband, John, of Rochester, IN; one great-granddaughter, Abby King; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral Information Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, February 10th, in Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, downtown Monticello. Services will be held at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11th at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Wes Brookshire officiating. Burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Monticello United Methodist Church.
