Description	:	Ruth Nash, daughter of William Edward and Ivy Serena (Scott) Zintz, was born on July 25, 1916, near Plano, Iowa. She passed away at the Corydon Nursing & Rehab Center on March 16, 2012 at the age of 95, years, 7 months, and 20 days. Ruth spent her early years and grade school days on her parents' farm near Plano. She graduated from Corydon High School, Class of 1933, where she earned a normal training certificate. Ruth spent her early years and grade school days on her parents' farm near Plano. She graduated from Corydon High School, Class of 1933, where she earned a normal training certificate. She taught in rural schools until her marriage. Emma Ruth Zintz married Stewart Franklin Moore on February 15, 1941. Stew and Ruth farmed near Corydon and Allerton in Wayne County until his death in 1967. Ruth and Stew had three children: Wayne Eugene, Richard Lee, and Marilyn Kay. After Stew's death, Ruth and Marilyn moved to Corydon and Ruth worked at Neely Manufacturing Company until her retirement in 1978. Ruth married Ed Nash on February 17, 1979. Ed and Ruth farmed near Allerton, Iowa until he retired. Her hobby was sewing and quilting. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth and Ed enjoyed traveling in several states, including Alaska, and attending local community events. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church, most recently at Clio, Iowa. She was also a member of UMW, the Wayne County Hospital Auxiliary, Rebekahs, and HPC Club. Since April 2009 she resided at the Corydon Nursing & Rehab Center. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Stewart, her parents, son Richard, granddaughter Kim Marie Cherryholmes, son-in-law Dwaine Burley, great grandchildren Riley and Taylor Sulser, six brothers: Bart (Edna), Victor, Miles (Mary), Boyd, Clay and Wayne (Mary) Zintz and four sisters: Coy (Vernon) Theirman, Audrey (Adrian and Jay Williams) Kinser, Lois (John) Moore, and DeVee (Jack) Muilenburg. She is survived by her husband Ed of the Corydon Nursing & Rehab Center, son Gene Moore and wife Evelyn of Bloomington, Illinois, daughter Marilyn Burley of Indianola, Iowa, granddaughter Kristina (Matt) Valentine of Box Elder, South Dakota, granddaughter Karla (Nick) Sulser of Corydon, seven great grandchildren: R. B. Sloan, Morgan, Michael, Leighanne, and Mark Valentine of Box Elder, South Dakota and Dominic and Brylee Sulser of Corydon, one sister Verna (Ron) Freeman of Davenport, Iowa and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
