Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Emma J. Brewer, 74, were held from the MeHinger chapel in Tacoma at 12:30 o'clock p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Burial followed at 3:30 p.m. in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Elma, where a short graveside service was held. She died at her home in Tacoma Saturday after an illness of several years. Mrs. Brewer was one of the earliest Grays Harbor pioneers, having come here 70 years ago at the age of 4 and spent most of her life in Satsop and Elma. Mrs. Brewer was one of the earliest Grays Harbor pioneers, having come here 70 years ago at the age of 4 and spent most of her life in Satsop and Elma. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Smith, Who came here by the way of the isthmus of Panama and San Franciso and then northward by boat. About 12 years ago she and her husband moved to Tacoma. Later they returned to Satsop for 13 months an d then went back again to Tacoma. Mrs Brewer was related by blood or marriage to practically all of the early pioneer families of this region. She is survived by her husband, Herry Brewer of Tacoma, two daughters, Mrs. Nattle Fleycher, Seattle, and Mrs. Carrie Blair, Bremerton; three sons, Dr. Orlando Brewer, Whidby Island, Bernard Brewer Toledo, and Clarerce Brewer, Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Peter Lafferty, Olympia; two brothers, Andrew and Robert Smith, Montesano, and numerous Grand- children, great greandchildren and numerous other relatives.
