Emma Zenker was born June 6, 1907, in Logan County, North Dakota, the daughter of William Sr. and Fredricka (Klipfel) Zenker. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education, grew up in the area and worked on the family farm. Read More	The Jamestown Sun, ND Wednesday, June 01, 2005 Emma Miller, 97, Gackle, N.D., died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown. Emma Zenker was born June 6, 1907, in Logan County, North Dakota, the daughter of William Sr. and Fredricka (Klipfel) Zenker. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education, grew up in the area and worked on the family farm. She married Peter Miller Jr. on Dec. 18, 1928, in Neudorf Lutheran Church southwest of Gackle. They lived on a farm one-half mile west of his parents' farm, where they lived until they retired in 1968. In 1971, they moved to Gackle. He died Nov. 20, 1974. In March 2002, she moved to Gackle Care Center. She entered Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center on Aug. 27, 2004. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She is survived by five daughters, Magdelina (LeRoy) Presler, Janet (John) Henke and LorRaine (Ralph) Rivinius, all Gackle, Darlene (Duane) Trautman, Medina, N.D., and Hulda (Daniel) Peterson, Holdrege, Neb.; a son, Marvin (JoAnne), Gackle; a sister, Mathilda (Dave) Huliva, Elk Grove, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and five sisters. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle, with the Rev. Russell Pollock officiating. Prayer service: 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Haut Funeral Homes, Gackle, and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the church. Burial: Gackle Cemetery, Gackle.
