Description	:	No headstone Emmet came to Tekamah in 1881 where he lived about a year and in 1882 he came to Craig when the village was still very young. For a few years he clerked in a store. He served on the first village board and then moved to a Freeman farm east of town. At age 14 he joined the Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Craig Methodist Church in 1890. He also served as Sunday School superintendent for eight years while farming near Craig. About 1910 the family moved to Lincoln where they were active in St. James Methodist church.
