Description	:	World War 1 Veteran Husband of Mary (Humphrey) Wiley Father of Annette WILEY SERVICES HELD AT DOUDS Emmett Wiley, son of George and Mary Miller Wiley, was born in Douds, Oct. 31, 1897 and died Aug. 26, 1951 at his home. He spent his entire life in Douds with the exception of two years in the service of his country during World War I. Read More	World War 1 Veteran Husband of Mary (Humphrey) Wiley Father of Annette WILEY SERVICES HELD AT DOUDS Emmett Wiley, son of George and Mary Miller Wiley, was born in Douds, Oct. 31, 1897 and died Aug. 26, 1951 at his home. He spent his entire life in Douds with the exception of two years in the service of his country during World War I. He was united in marriage to Mary Humphrey, Aug. 27, 1932 and to them was born one daughter, Annette, who with his widow survives. He also leaves his father, George W. Wiley, two brothers, Clarence and Harold of Douds, two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Harwood of Cantril and Mrs. Evelyn Parks of Ottumwa and a host of relatives and friends. His mother preceded him in death in 1941. He was a member of the American Legion, John Hyson Reneker Post 494, of Douds, which was in charge of military rites. During his illness of 14 months he was cared for in his home by his wife and daughter. Rev. Robert G. Farr was in charge of services at the Pedrick funeral home Tuesday, Aug. 28.
