Description	:	Emmitt L. Brown, 72, of 1035 S. Hancock St., died Friday, May 1, 2009, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. He was born June 14, 1936, in Ottumwa to Floyd and Clela Clark Brown. He was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. where he had many friends. He had a big heart and was loved by all that knew him. He had a special place in his heart for his great-great-niece, Haleigh Sly, who was like a daughter to him. Visitation with the family will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home.After visitation, cremation will be accorded with burial in Shaul Cemetery at a later date.Memorials may be made to the V.F.W.
