Emory was born Sept. 7, 1944, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Stanley Chapman and Rosaline Pack Wilson. Mr. Chapman worked for Perdue for 48 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Patricia Chapman of Parsonsburg; a son, Richard Chapman and his wife, Paula, of Parsonsburg; a daughter, Kimberly Benton and her husband, Arthur, of Chance; four grandchildren, Erin Bell, Emily Chapman, Ryan Bell and Jon Trader; two aunts, Helen Bacon and Evelyn Chatham; a cat, Matthew; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Sonny Benton will officiate. Burial will be in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, PO Box 78960, Phoenix, Ariz. 85062-8960. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home PA, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, Md. 21804.
