Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill is in charge of arrangements. Enid was born on February 5, 1929, in Spencer, NE, to James and Ethlean (Spicknall) Galbraith. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1946, then went on to earn her teaching certificate. Enid taught in rural schools in Sheridan County and Boyd County for seven years. She met Calvin Fuhrer, and they were married on September 5, 1953, at the Spencer Methodist Church. To this union, 4 children were born: Charles, Paul, Catherine and Janis. The family made their home in Bassett, NE, and Bonesteel, SD, before moving to O’Neill in 1965. She ran an in-home daycare for over 40 years before retiring in 2007. Calvin passed away in 2000. Enid was a member of Faith Community Church and was a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, Jigsaw puzzles, doing embroidery work and baking for her family. She is survived by her 4 children: Charles Fuhrer and wife Deb, of Ord, NE, Paul Fuhrer and wife Rose of Omaha, NE, Catherine Fuhrer and Janis Fuhrer, both of O’Neill, NE, 5 grandchildren; Chris Evans and husband Adam, Casey Fuhrer, Ben Fuhrer, Suzanne Kuklinski and husband Alex, all of Omaha, NE, and Sarah Gubbels and husband Lucus of Wayne, NE, 2 great grandchildren, 1 brother, James Galbraith and wife Marilyn of Hemet, CA, 1 brother-in-law, Guy Orr of Gordon, NE, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Calvin in 2000, one brother, Howard Galbraith, 4 sisters; Delilia Winter, Mary Boettcher, Geraldean Orr, and Alice Winter.
