Enno Herman Otten was born at Tea, SD on September 14, 1934, the son of Herman and Clara (Javers) Otten. He grew up and lived in the Tea area, spending part of his growing up years with the Elmore Poppens family. He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959. Read More	Enno "Bummy" Otten, 79, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Avera Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls due to cancer. Enno Herman Otten was born at Tea, SD on September 14, 1934, the son of Herman and Clara (Javers) Otten. He grew up and lived in the Tea area, spending part of his growing up years with the Elmore Poppens family. He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959. On July 14, 1961 he was united in marriage to Coryel Hilbrands at Germantown Presbyterian Church. Following their marriage they moved to Sioux Falls and returned to Tea in 1997. He was employed at John Morrell & Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He endured many health problems before and after retiring. "Bummy" enjoyed talking with people and reading magazines, newspapers and books. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce Schultz. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Coryel; three brothers: Ernest "Poody" Otten, Sr. and his wife, Barb, of Tea, Dean Otten and his wife, Doris, of Tea and Darrel Otten and his wife, Sharon, of Sioux Falls; one sister: Sharon Coffee of Tea; plus many nieces and nephews.
