July 23 1828, and died at his home in Monticello April 26, 1897, aged 68 years, 9 months and 3 days. On November 14th 1847 he was married to Miss Catherine Golden, at Albany, N. Y. Mrs. Morrison died Jan. 12th, 1890. Mr. Morrison with his family came to Iowa about 28 years ago. July 23 1828, and died at his home in Monticello April 26, 1897, aged 68 years, 9 months and 3 days. On November 14th 1847 he was married to Miss Catherine Golden, at Albany, N. Y. Mrs. Morrison died Jan. 12th, 1890. Mr. Morrison with his family came to Iowa about 28 years ago. Shortly after coming this state he united with the Methodist Episcopal church, and continued in its membership throughout the remainder of his life. He became a member of the church in Monticello, in the fall of 1895, joining by letter. There were nine children in Mr. Morrison's family, two of whom died in infancy, and one, Emma E., departed this life Feb. 13th 1891. The living children are Mrs. G. W. Reymore and Mrs. H. C. Hartman of Anamosa, Mrs. R. H. White of Center Junction, Mrs. W. A. Hayes of Monticello, Mr. Edgar E. Morrison of Cedar Rapids, Neb. and Walter G. Morrison of Nevada Mo. As a citizen, Morrison was a man of integrity; as a neighbor kind and obliging; and as a father loving and indulgent. He came to reside in Monticello, nearly two years ago, and has been known as a quiet gentlemanly neighbor and citizen.
