Description	:	Josiah Tilton, son of Josiah and Sarah (Flanders) Tilton, was born 22 October 1743 at Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Josiah married first Sarah True, daughter of Abraham and Sarah "Sally" (French) True, about 1768 at East Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. To this union six children were born: 1. Samuel Tilton; born 02 December 1771 at Deerfield, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Samuel married Deborah Batchelder, daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Longfellow) Batchelder, 30 September 1795 at Deerfield, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Samuel died after 1850.
