Description	:	Death of E.T. Withers ------------ The death occurred at Gilby on December 18, at the home of his son, Harry, of Ephriam T. Withers, aged 76 years. Mr. Withers was born and grew to manhood in King's County, Nova Scotia, where he was well and widely known, being for many years a constable of the county. Some six years ago he sold his homestead, and with... Read More	Death of E.T. Withers ------------ The death occurred at Gilby on December 18, at the home of his son, Harry, of Ephriam T. Withers, aged 76 years. Mr. Withers was born and grew to manhood in King's County, Nova Scotia, where he was well and widely known, being for many years a constable of the county. In 1907, with his wife and family, he moved to the Canadian West. He homesteaded in the Medicine Valley and when Leedale post office came into being he was the first postmaster. Some six years ago he sold his homestead, and with his wife and son Charles made their home in Calgary. The death of Mrs. Withers last July broke up the home, and Mr. Withers returned to Medicine Valley to live with his married son Harry. Death came quietly and peacefully, without illness. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Otto Huppelheiser of Blackfalds, and Mrs. Fred Lange, of Docorah, Iowa, and three sons, William and Harry of Gilby, and Charles of Calgary.
