Description	:	The Glasgow Courier (MT), 25 Nov 1921 Poplar Pioneer is Called By Death After living the allotted three score and ten years Erastus Rounds died suddenly at 2 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home in Riverside, south of the river from Poplar. Mr. Rounds was in apparent good health Monday afternoon and worked at husking corn. Towards night he complained of a pain in his side and appeared to be in great agony. Mr. Rounds was in apparent good health Monday afternoon and worked at husking corn. Towards night he complained of a pain in his side and appeared to be in great agony. He suffered intense pain from the time he was first attacked until his death at 2 o'clock in the morning. The deceased was 78 years old. He was born in Tumble county, Ohio, July 18, 1842. With his father he immigrated to Illinois in the fall of 1895. In 1900 he went to Minnesota and in 1908 he came to Montana and took up a homestead on the Southside. The deceased is survived by his wife who lives at home at Riverside. The children are Mrs. Nellie Breese, of Poplar, Mrs. Abe Dale, of Poplar, Mrs. Ben H. Johnson, of Blackfoot, Idaho, Mrs. William Rounds of Lehigh, Iowa, and Theodore and Harry Rounds, of Poplar. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon. Interment was in Poplar cemetery. Following were the pall bearers: J.B. Tyler, Ben Staley, Ernest Schultz and Al Wambach. The deceased was a kindly man with the right kind of feelings toward his fellow men and will be missed by his family and relatives and a large circle of friends.--Poplar Standard
