Description	:	Erdythe White, age 92 of Grinnell, died on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell. A private family graveside service will be held at the Lower Blue Point Cemetery south of Grinnell with Rev. John Epperson officiating. Erdythe Irene was born the daughter of Charles Edward Earp and Bertha Elmira Briggs on August 17, 1927 in Kilduff, Iowa. The... Read More	Erdythe White, age 92 of Grinnell, died on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell. A private family graveside service will be held at the Lower Blue Point Cemetery south of Grinnell with Rev. John Epperson officiating. Erdythe Irene was born the daughter of Charles Edward Earp and Bertha Elmira Briggs on August 17, 1927 in Kilduff, Iowa. She was raised near Kilduff and graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1946. On August 18, 1946, Erdythe was united in marriage to Victor White at the United Methodist Church in Kilduff. The couple raised their family in Grinnell and Erdythe was longtime cook in the Grinnell-Newburg Community School District. She had also worked at Michael’s restaurant in Grinnell. Erdythe dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable garden, reading, sewing, cross-stitching, crocheting, and visiting with neighbors and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, for being an excellent cook, for the strong love of her family, and someone who never knew a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor White on February 25, 2019; two children in infancy, Randall in 1950 and James in 1951; and her sisters, Nadine Kling and Verda Knopf and an infant brother Warren Lowell Earp.
