Description	:	Erhardt Andrew Delzer was born on November 19, 1909 at Gregory, SD to Andrew and Christine (nee Doerr) Delzer. He was married to Anna Marie Sayler, daughter of the Henry Saylers, at her parents home south of Menno, SD on July 3, 1938. Erhardt and Anna moved to Gregory, SD, soon after their marriage and while living there, their only son, Robert Erhardt Delzer was born on April 24, 1939. Read More	Erhardt Andrew Delzer was born on November 19, 1909 at Gregory, SD to Andrew and Christine (nee Doerr) Delzer. He was married to Anna Marie Sayler, daughter of the Henry Saylers, at her parents home south of Menno, SD on July 3, 1938. Erhardt and Anna moved to Gregory, SD, soon after their marriage and while living there, their only son, Robert Erhardt Delzer was born on April 24, 1939. They were soon to move to a farm north of Olivet, SD, where in October 1941, twin daughters were born, Dorothy Christine and Delores Elizabeth. In March 1945, the family moved to a farm purchased 1¾ miles north of Kaylor, SD. The family was compled with the birth of their youngest daughter Arlene Esther, in November 1945. Tragedy struck on August 16, 1961, when Robert, their only son was one of two National Guardsmen killed in a National Guard truck accident near Platte, SD. Robert had been engaged to Carol Ann Schnabel and their wedding was scheduled to take place shortly after the completion of Guard Camp. Tragedy struck again to the family when one year, one month and one day after the National Guard accident, Arlene was one of several injured in a car-school bus accident 8 miles northwest of Kaylor, SD. Arlene was hospitalized for 4 weeks with a broken leg, broken ribs and a broken collar bone. After missing several weeks of school, Arlene was able to return to High School and graduate from Scotland High in the Spring of 1963. Erhardt and Anna continued to farm until November 1971. At that time, they held a farm sale and sold the farm to Elmer Brandt who later sold the farm to Norman Konrad. Erhardt and Anna built a new home in Tripp and retired that winter. On May 1, 1979, Erhardt suffered a stroke and expired 4 days later at the Parkston Hospital. Erhardt was laid to rest along side of his son Robert, at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Scotland, SD. Anna continued to live in their home in Tripp. Dorothy married Ernest Hakl in June 1960. They presently reside in Scotland. They have 4 children; Brenda, Wanda, and twin boys, Douglas and Darrin. Delores married Alton Winckler in January 1961. They live on a farm 9½ miles south of Tripp. They have 6 children; Kimberly, lori, Lisa, Susan, David and Paul. Arlene married Willart Friederich in December 1964. They live on a farm southwest of Tripp. They have one daughter, Judy. =============================
