He married Donna Schmitz Martin Dec. 29, 1984, in Waterloo. He graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1981 and attended mechanic school at Hawkeye Tech. He was born Feb. 1, 1963, in Waterloo, son of Earl and Agnes Meier Youngblut. He married Donna Schmitz Martin Dec. 29, 1984, in Waterloo. He graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1981 and attended mechanic school at Hawkeye Tech. He was engaged in farming near I.a Porte City and was also a talented mechanic. He was employed for several years at lohn Deere Waterloo Tractor Works until taking a medical leave. He was passionate about working with youth athletics and coached "Little Joe Knights" basketball for nine years. He also loved riding horses with his family and friends and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survived by: his wife; three sons, Richard Martin, and Travis and Trent both at home; a daughter, Trudy (Dave) Ohrt; a grandson, Devin Ohrt; his parents, Earl and Agnes Youngblut; two brothers, Leonard and Harold (Amy); and eight sisters, Teresa (Jim) Schmitz, Rita (Craig) Rogers, Earlene McKenna, Mary Wilson, Nancy (Joel) Jacobsen, Marlys (Ted) Baebenroth, Lisa (Mark) Althof and Anita (Rick Scholz) Youngblut. Preceded in death by: a brother, Peter; two brothers-in-law, Bill McKenna and Joel Newton; maternal grandparents, John and Rosalia Meier; and paternal grandparents, Peter and Louise Youngblut. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St Mary's of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Eagle Center, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 4 pm. Catholic Order of Foresters rosary and a 7 p.m. parish vigil.
