Read More	Eriven Melvin Roll March 9, 1934 - December 9, 2021 Eriven Melvin Roll passed away Thursday December 9, 2021 at his home in Billings, Montana following a long illness. Eriven was born March 9, 1934 in Mott, North Dakota to Jerome and Lydia Roll. His family moved to Billings, Montana, where he grew up and graduated from Billings Senior High School. He met the love of his life Leona M. Sticka and they were married on January 22, 1955. Their special bond led to 5 children: Sheri (Bill) Gosnell, Eriven Jr. (Carla) Roll, Len (Patty) Roll, Greg Roll, and Patti (Chris) Gross. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Eriven is also survived by his sister Vi Daniels; brothers Joe (Shirley), Ray (Karen), and Gary; brother to the Roll family Donny Leikam; and special friend Gertie White. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Leona Roll; daughter Sheri Gosnell; parents Jerome and Lydia Roll; brothers Mike, Eugene "Sony", and LeRoy; and his sister Lorraine. Erv spent the better part of his 35 years working at Peirce Packing as the president of the local meat cutters union. He finished his career at Ponderosa Acres in management and maintenance. Erv enjoyed the outdoors – he loved the family built cabin at Cooney Dam, hunting, fishing, and camping, and he also loved cabinetry, wood working, playing cards with family and his and Leona's many friends (he hated losing a quarter), and long coffee breaks . . . Erv was always willing to lend a helping hand or give someone a leg up. His presence and sense of humor will leave an empty space, especially for each and every one of his children and grandchildren, whom all of which he took personal interest in. His sense of humor lives on in his many stories. "Okay, See ya Later, Goodbye". A funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X Church at 11:00 AM Friday December 17, 2021. Rite of Committal will follow at Rockvale Cemetery, immediately following burial; a reception dinner will be held at The Fort in Rockvale.
