She passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Greenfield Manor at the age of 90. Eileen was raised in Bridgewater. On December 26, 1937, she was united in marriage to Dwight Woodside. To this union one son, Merle was born. They spent most of their lived together living in Adams County. They spent several years wintering in Arizona, making numerous friends. Read More	Erma Eileen Woodside was born on February 18, 1920, in Adair County, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Eshelman) Strong. She passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Greenfield Manor at the age of 90. Eileen was raised in Bridgewater. On December 26, 1937, she was united in marriage to Dwight Woodside. To this union one son, Merle was born. They spent most of their lived together living in Adams County. They spent several years wintering in Arizona, making numerous friends. After Dwight's passing in 1981, she remained on the homestead until moving to Greenfield in 1998. Eileen was a member of the Avondale United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, loved African violets, raising gladiolas, and really enjoyed being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight; daughter in infancy, Sharon Kay; three sisters, Stella Brown, Edna Stone, and Gladys Schultz; two brothers, Floyd and Melvin Strong; and great granddaughter, Bethany Davidson. She is survived by her son, Merle Woodside and wife, Scarlet of Memphis, Nebraska; one granddaughter, Lauri Moreno; three great grandchildren, Blyth and Holly Davidson and Benjamin Moreno; six step grandchildren, Chylynn Shultz, Trina McCall, Amanda Pinkelman, Joseph Nissen, Jr., Marcus Nissen, and Austin Nissen; seven step great grandchildren, SSGT. Christopher Bahm, Katie Bahm, Steven Bahm, Lacee Pinkelman, Lilli Pinkelman, Rocketman Nissen, and Peyton Nissen; 3 step great-great grandchildren, Ernest Bahm, Haylin Bahm, and Matthew Bahm; special friend, Jean Thompson-Danielson; other relatives and friends. Funeral Services: Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Garner Cemetery in Bridgewater. A luncheon will follow the burial at the Avondale United Methodist Church. Family Visitation: Tuesday, October 26, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.
