Description	:	“Erma H. (Derr) Kissler died Sept 20, 2007, in Spokane Valley at the age of 92. She was born on Dec 3, 1914, in Odessa to Henry and Katherine (Eckhardt) Derr. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1932. Erma married Reinhold Kissler in Odessa in 1933. They owned and operated a grocery store in Odessa until his health forced them to sell and move to Davenport. She then continued to work at a title office in Davenport. (Derr) Kissler died Sept 20, 2007, in Spokane Valley at the age of 92. She was born on Dec 3, 1914, in Odessa to Henry and Katherine (Eckhardt) Derr. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1932. Erma married Reinhold Kissler in Odessa in 1933. They owned and operated a grocery store in Odessa until his health forced them to sell and move to Davenport. She then continued to work at a title office in Davenport. In 1968 they moved to Ritzville where she worked for Big Bend Electric and later the Adams County Treasurer’s Office. At her last job, she was meals coordinator for Gritman Senior Center. Reinhold died in 1990 and she continued to live in Ritzville until her health forced her to move to Spokane to be near her daughter. In May 2003, she moved to an assisted living facility. In January 2005, she moved to Spokane Valley Good Samaritan, where she lived until her death on Sept 20, 2007. She is survived by her children Arlene Koth and Frank of Spokane Valley; Ronald Kissler and Judy of Mukilteo, WA; and Gerald Kissler and Cathy of Portland; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Suchland, of Auburn, WA; and one brother, Arthur Derr of Memphis, TN; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Reinhold Kissler. Graveside services were held Monday, Sept 24, 2007, at Odessa Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at Zion Philadelphia United Church of Christ in Ritzville, with Amos Smith and Nancy Goodwin officiating.
