Description	:	Ms. Erma Jean Harriss, 77, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 26, 2015 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born on April 24, 1937 in Columbia County to the late Garner Hall and the late Essie Waldron. She spent most of her life in Columbia County and worked in the mobile home industry for many years. She attended Christ Central Ministries and Oak Grove Baptist Church until ill health prevented. Read More	Ms. Erma Jean Harriss, 77, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 26, 2015 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born on April 24, 1937 in Columbia County to the late Garner Hall and the late Essie Waldron. She spent most of her life in Columbia County and worked in the mobile home industry for many years. She attended Christ Central Ministries and Oak Grove Baptist Church until ill health prevented. Jean loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved to spend time at her river house with her family and loved to work in her yard. She also was an avid scrabble player and enjoyed playing the game with her sisters. She was preceded in death by her step-father: Dupree Ginn; her loving husband of 17 years: William “Bill” Harriss and her son: Michael Kenneth Joyner. She is survived by her daughter: Michele Crummitt (Richard) of O’Brien, FL; brother: Dwight Hall of Saucier, MS; sisters: Carolyn Begue (Bill) of Valdosta, GA and Ann Goodman (Floyd) of Perry, FL. Her loving grandchildren: Caleb, Cassidy and Emily Joyner also survive. Many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends will miss her as well. The family would like to thank Jean’s nieces, Regina King, and Chrissy Moates, and her dear friend, Terry Goshorn for their devotion to her during her illness. Funeral services for Ms. Harris will be conducted on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 3 P.M. in the chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dustin Busscher officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery.
