Wilson died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at her home in Laurens. ------------------------------------------------ Erma Wilson, age 60, passed away on February 10, 2013, at her home in Laurens. Erma Jean Wilson was born on August 20, 1952, at the Hospital in Emmetsburg. She was the daughter of Emmett and Alice (Iverson) Wilson. Erma was Baptized at the Emmetsburg Lutheran Church. She attended school in Laurens, graduating from Laurens High School in 1972. She graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg in 1974 and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake. Erma had been employed at the Fairmont Minnesota Hospital for approximately thirty-five years. She spent a lot of time at the Laurens Care Center, where her mother was a resident until she passed away in December of 2012. Erma was well liked by the patients and staff. She had a great smile and was a very kind soul. She would do almost anything for anybody. Erma was very fond of her nephew Trevor. While living in Fairmont, Erma was a volunteer for the American Legion Auxiliary, the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon and the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial Group. She was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Survivors include her brother: Emmett G. (Sharon) Wilson of West Fargo, ND and nephew, Trevor. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, two uncles and three aunts.
