Description	:	Erma M. (McHarg) Gibbs, 80, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 14, 2013 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born Oct. 14, 1932 in Albany, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred (Jennings) McHarg. She had retired in 2011 from the Hillsboro Public Library after more than 20 years of service. She was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro, had served as a deacon and an elder and was a member of the Wednesday Morning Circle. She was born Oct. 14, 1932 in Albany, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred (Jennings) McHarg. She had retired in 2011 from the Hillsboro Public Library after more than 20 years of service. She was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro, had served as a deacon and an elder and was a member of the Wednesday Morning Circle. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, of Delaware and a brother, of Albany, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney A. Gibbs, on June 9, 1983; and a sister, Jean Van Nest. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro. Rev. Maurice Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
