Description	:	Erma M. Plowman, 101, a lifelong resident of Letts, IA., who recently resided in Geneseo, died on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Hillcrest Home in Genseo, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Burial will be in Letts Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Letts Community Center following the interment. Casketbearers will be grandchildren. Lamb was born on August 30, 1907 in Letts, Iowa the daughter of Ithamer T. and Olive Diane Elliot Lamb. On August 14, 1928 she was united in marriage to Harlan A. Plowman in Muscatine. She was formerly a member of the Gospel Hall in Letts, Iowa. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and drawing, but the love of her life was children, especially her grandchildren. Erma will be deeply missed by her five children; Harlan Arthur Plowman and his wife Lori of Glenburnie, Md., Gary Lee Plowman and his wife Barbara of Walford, IA; Joseph Edward Plowman and his wife Nancy of Bloomfield, IA, Beverly Jane Streets of Letts, IA and Ester Riggs and her husband Paul of East Moline. Erma was blessed with many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Erma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children in infancy; two sons Larry Bruce Plowman and Nelson Ray Plowman; one daughter Elizabeth Ann Thompkins; two grandchildren Bobby Dean Plowman and Angela Ottesen; two brothers and five sisters.
