The services are being arranged by the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Bailey, 92, was born on Aug. 12, 1917, on a farm near Sully to Garret and Bertha (Crum) Wisgerhof. Erma was the 11th child and last daughter of their 14 children. Erma graduated from Sully High School in 1934 and attended business college in Sioux City for two years. She was employed at the office of the Sully Cooperative until her marriage in 1943 to Earl Voss of Marengo. They farmed near Marengo until Earl's death in 1954. Erma then returned to Sully and again worked at the Cooperative. In 1959, Erma moved to Newton where she worked at the Peoples' Natural Gas office for five years, and then at Mid Iowa Savings and Loan until her retirement in 1971. In 1966, she was married to Clifford Bailey, who died in 1990. Erma's affiliations included the United Presbyterian Church, groups in her church, and the Clio Club. She greatly enjoyed her many friends and relatives. Her survivors include her brother, Max Wisgerhof of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; her two granddaughters, Kathryn Bailey Nielsen (Bruce) of Peoria, Ill., and Jennifer Bailey Petoske (Terence) of Chicago, Illinois and their families; daughter-in-law, Jan Bailey of West Des Moines; nieces, Joan Tyler of Newton; Marcile Ratcliff (Mel) of Lynnville; Kay Sterling Ford of Tallahassee, Fla.; Sue Anderson (Dr. R. A.) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Diane Shea (Don) of Redding, Calif.; Carlene Schrag (Stan) of Lincoln, Neb.; Vicki Casey (Mike) of Aurora, Colo.; Sherri Wisgerhof of San Francisco, Calif.; Judy Halvorson (Bruce) of Napa, Calif.; and Nana Tjelle of Goldfield; and nephews, Jerry Tjelle (Merlyn) of Holt, Mo.; Lynn Bell (Gerri) of Sonoma, Calif.; Dr. Max Wisgerhof II (Mary) of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.; and Denny Wisgerhof (Joyce) of Orinda, Calif. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, sisters and spouses, Nelle Welle (Dr. C. B.), Reva Wildman (Wayne); Lorene Bell Smith (George, Bob); Ann Tjelle (Ole); sister-in-law, Portia Wisgerhof, and her brothers and spouses, Guy (Verlee, Hazel); Oliver (Hazel, Sylvia); Lester (Dortha); Howard; Karl (Eileen); Carroll (Ruth); and Earl (Galeda); stepson, Ron Bailey; nephew, Tom Tjelle; niece, Terry Jennings; and others. Erma was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, grandmother and aunt. Memorials are suggested to the United Presbyterian Church or to the Park Centre Good Samaritan Fund."
