Nickels, 48, Victim Early Monday Monticello, Dec. 4—Ermal Jennings Nickels, 48, 717 Jaunita street, died at his home at 12:15 o'clock this morning an hour after taking poison. Dr. C. R. Netherton of Chalmers, White county coroner, who investigated the death, returned a verdict of suicide by poisoning. Mr. Nickels had been despondent for some time, it was said, and not in the best health. The family had lived in Monticello the past three years, coming here from the Kewanna vicinity.
