Description	:	Erna Anna Schumann Dieckmann Boyer, 90, died Aug. 31, 2004 at Holton Manor. She was born Nov. 1, 1913, at Netawaka, the daughter of Max and Meta Zwonitzer Schumann. Mrs. Boyer was a homemaker. She and her husband lived in the Netawaka community all of their married years. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Netawaka and was a member of the Ladies Aid at the church. She married Walter Dieckmann on February 16, 1938. He died May 20, 1966. She also was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Kurt, Arndt, Fritz and Harold; three siblings who died in infancy; and a granddaughter Deanna Jo Weick. Survivors include a son, Robert Dieckmann and wife Karen, Fairland, Okla.; two daughters, Betty Weick and husband Norm, and Marilyn Forgy and husband Fielden, all of Topeka; eight grandchildren, Tammy Moore, Kim Weick, Cindy Edmonds, Janelle Erickson, Stephen Forgy, Sherri Hartter, Luke Dieckmann and Zachary Dieckmann; 13 great-grandchildren, and two to be born soon; a brother, Walter Schumann and wife Edith, Wetmore; a sister-in-law, Frances Dieckmann, Netawaka; nieces, nephews and four stepchildren. Funeral services were held Sept. 3 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial was in Netawaka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Jackson County Friends of Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home. Holton Recorder Sept 2004
