Description	:	WWII Ernest Reiman Ernest Andrew Reiman, son of Joseph and Cecila (Hofstetter) Reiman, was born on April 14, 1917 at rural Lawrence, NE. and passed away on August 16, 1984 in the, Omaha Veteran's Hospital in Omaha at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 2 days. Ernest had lived all of his life in the communities of Lawrence, Bladen and Blue Hill. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army for 4 years. Read More	WWII Ernest Reiman Ernest Andrew Reiman, son of Joseph and Cecila (Hofstetter) Reiman, was born on April 14, 1917 at rural Lawrence, NE. and passed away on August 16, 1984 in the, Omaha Veteran's Hospital in Omaha at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 2 days. Ernest had lived all of his life in the communities of Lawrence, Bladen and Blue Hill. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army for 4 years. At this time, he was staff sergeant on Septic Surgery Ward of Station Hospital in New Hebrides, South Pacific. He also was a present. member of the American Legion A.L. Shirley Post #176, Blue Hill. On Sept. 24, 1942, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Jane Baker. To this union were born 1 daughter and 2 sons: Lois, Garry and Burdel. Ernest farmed in the Bladen area. He also worked at the Hastings Regional Center, Dutton Lainson and at the Grand Island Corn Husker Ordinance Plant, until the family moved to Blue Hill 11 years ago. These past years, Ernie worked with his son, Garry, in the Body Shop, until he became sick in April of this year. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Reiman. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; He also leaves many nieces, nephews and relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock a.m. on Monday, August 20, 1984 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Blue Hill with Father Ed Valasek officiating. Music was provided by Evart Barton and Faith Kamm. Pallbearers were Eldon Baker, William Baker, David Mau, William Schmidt, Lealand Lighthill, and Floyd Baker Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Skrdlant, Hank Alber, Roy Alber, Haldene Johnson, Carl Hubert, Stanley Pavelka and Donald Piel. Military graveside services and interment was made in Blue Hill Catholic Cemetery with Merten-Butler Funeral Home of Blue Hill in charge of arrangements. Blue Hill Leader Aug 1984
