Description	:	Lone Tree Reporter, Thursday, March 29, 1934 Ernest Krueger, living northeast of town, passed away Friday morning at this home after a short illness with blood poisoning. He had been sick only three or four days, apparently in the best of health before, and his passing thereby came as a greater shock to his relatives and friends. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. H. C. Buell, Mrs. Mabel Burr, W. H. Yakish, and E. C. Green, with Mrs. Marcus Bach as accompanist. Interment was in the Lone Tree cemetery. Among relatives and friends from a distance here for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Froehlke of Chicago, Ill.; Chas. Becker and daughter Hazel and John Freburg, of Illinois City, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Wagner and son Gust, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Carlson, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Krueger and son Jack, all of Joy, Ill.; Mrs. Henry Boldt and son Virgil, Mrs. Henry Pomeroy, Mrs. Pearle Wedekind, Mr. and Mrs. John Weggen, Elmer Weggen, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Weggen, Mr. and Mrs. William Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. William Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Lockwood, and Raymond Jameson, all of Muscatine; Mrs. Henry Sutton, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Jameson, Lewis Jameson, Maud Jameson, Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Smith, all of Nichols; Mrs. and Mrs. Elmer Jameson and son and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jameson of Muscatine; John Jameson of West Branch; and Mrs. and Mrs. Verner Jameson and children of Conesville; and Mrs. Ellis Wrol of Moline, Ill. Ernest August Krueger was born December 18, 1896 in Johnson county, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Krueger. On May 29, 1918 he was united in marriage to Miss Susan Annie Jameson of Nichols. Together they established their home on a farm northeast of Lone Tree, and to this union five children were born. Ernest was taken suddenly and severely sick, and in spite of all that loving hands and attention could do was summoned by death on March 23, 1934, having reached the age of 37 years, three months and five days. He leaves to mourn his untimely departure his wife, his children, Iola, Carl, Alberta, Irene and Violet; his parents; four brothers, Henry and Herman of Lone Tree, Charles of Joy, Ill., and John of Nichols; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Froehlke of Chicago, Mrs. Minnie Fouchek of Beatrice, Neb., Mrs. Mary Larew of Lone Tree, Mrs. Edna Petru of Hills, and Mrs. Emma Krueger of Lone Tree, and numerous other relatives and friends. Three brothers, August, Fred and William preceded him in death. When a boy he was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Her belonged to the order of Moose, and is remembered by this order a loyal and conscientious member.
