Born Saturday, September 8, 1943, in Buena Vista, Va., Ernie was a son of the late Ernest Burnette Hostetter, Sr. and the late Eunice Thacker Hostetter. He was retired from Valley Protein, a member of Forest Presbyterian Church, a member of Colonial Hills Golf Course, and past member of Poplar Forest Golf Course. Ernie enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, reading, good times at Myrtle Beach, and spending time with family and friends.The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Ernie's life will follow at 1 p.m.,with the Rev. Morgan Whitfield officiating.
