Description	:	OBITUARY : ERNEST C. LARRABEE, 79, of Highfield, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Newton D. Baker VA Center, Martinsburg, W. Va. He had been in failing health for the past two years and was last admitted to the VA Center a week ago. Mr. Larrabee was born, Feb. 15, 1895, in Boston, Mass., a son of the late George O. and Annie M. (Armstrong) Larrabee. His early life was lived in Boston. He had been in failing health for the past two years and was last admitted to the VA Center a week ago. Mr. Larrabee was born, Feb. 15, 1895, in Boston, Mass., a son of the late George O. and Annie M. (Armstrong) Larrabee. His early life was lived in Boston. Mr. Larrabee served with the AEF in Europe during World War I. He and Mrs. Larrabee were married in January, 1921, and had lived in the Blue Ridge Summit area for the past 51 years. Mr. Larrabee was employed by the Western Maryland Railway as a passenger and freight agent at the Highfield and Blue Ridge Summit stations. He re-enlisted in the Army during World War II, and following his discharge from the service returned to his employment with the railroad in 1958. Mr. Larrabee was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, Blue Ridge Summit. He was a member of the American Legion Post at Cascade and the VFW of Waynesboro. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Viola M. (Wastler) Larrabee, he is survived by a son, Ernest C. Larrabee, Jr., Houston, Tex., and two daughters, Mrs. Harold Ramsburg, Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Troy Stevenson, Charleston, S.C. Also surviving are eight grandchildren. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Cannon J. Boyd Davis. Interment will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
