Description	:	Funeral Services were held at Mansfield Funeral Home Monday for Ernest E. Cozad at 2 p.m., the Rev. Hugh Shiveloy, officiant. Casket bearers were Truman Hardy, Ed Walker, Walt Walker, Verlin Hardy, Otha Dicksersbach, and Gerald Wilcox. Caring for the flowers were Mrs. Verlin Hardy and Mrs. Gene Rubenking. Mrs. William Blackburn was organist and accompanied Ed Mulholland as he sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Abide With Me.." Interment was in the Malvern Cemetery. Cozad, third son of John and Sarah Cozad, was born in Plattsmouth, Nebraska on December 28, 1902 and departed this life January 26, 1968 at the age of 65 years. His parents, three brothers, Henry, Walter, and Omer, and one sister, Bessie Atkinson, preceded him in death. Most of his life, with the exception of a few years in Nebraska, he lived in Malvern and was a carpenter by trade. He was a faithful son who cared for his mother in her aging years. Survivors include his brother, Robert Coxad of Fresno, California; four sisters, Clara Atkinson and Ethel Jackson of Malvern, Gladys Green of Pacific Junction, and Viola Tackett of Buena, Washington, and many other relatives and friends.
