He was born in Surry County on November 6, 1931 to the late Ernest George Sr. and Mallie Wall Moore. Mr. Moore worked as a Machine Mechanic for Carolina Narrow Fabric, a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and was a member of King American Legion Post 290. Read More	PINNACLE - Mr. Ernest George Moore. Jr., age 78, of Pinnacle, passed away on, Friday, October 8, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born in Surry County on November 6, 1931 to the late Ernest George Sr. and Mallie Wall Moore. Mr. Moore worked as a Machine Mechanic for Carolina Narrow Fabric, a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and was a member of King American Legion Post 290. Mr. Moore is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie Ray and Peggy Moore of Siloam and Ronnie Lee and Patricia Moore of Pinnacle; one sister, Ramonia Jeanette Whittington of Ararat, NC; and numerous aunts, cousins and nephews. Preceded in death by his step-mother, Alta Laramore Moore; one sister, Eunice McClenny, and one brother, Rev. Cecil Moore. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lewis Martin and the Rev. Ron Chamblin officiating with interment to follow at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors given by King American Legion Post 290. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
