Born on Big Tancook Island, he was a son of the late Manson and Mildred (Rhodenizer) Langille. Ernie spent his entire working career as a boatbuilder a long tradition he carried on from his family. Ernie is survived y his daughters, Julie (Douglas) Tanner, Garden Lots; Marilyn (Garth Hiltz) Hynick, Martin?s River; Nancy (Kenny) Knickle, Garden Lots; sons, Lawrence (Carol), Blue Rocks; Jessen (Elaine), Bridgewater; John (Cathy), Middle LaHave; sisters, Florence Langille, Bridgewater; Marguerite Baker, Mahone Bay; Eileen "Puggy" (Mel) Loveridge, Bridgewater; brother, Murray (Marie), Liverpool. Ernie will also be missed by 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Ernie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jane; brothers Ivan and Willis and son-in-law, Paul Hynick. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ernie with his family during visitation in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. No. 3 Lunenburg, today from 7-9 p.m., and from where a funeral service to celebrate Ernie?s life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Pastor Mark Baker officiating. Interment will be in St. Martin?s Anglican Church Cemetery, Martin?s River. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or to a charity of your choice. www.sweenyfuneralhome.ca
