Description	:	"Ernest Maas died Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock of throat trouble. He was born in Germany Jan. 19, 1851, and came to America in 1873 and had resided in Norfolk ever since. In 1878 he was married to Miss Augustine Hilgendorf and twelve children were born to them, five of whom are now living. She lived eighteen years after their marriage and three years after her death he was married to Miss Helene Ewaldt, five children being born to this union, only one of whom is living. He was born in Germany Jan. 19, 1851, and came to America in 1873 and had resided in Norfolk ever since. In 1878 he was married to Miss Augustine Hilgendorf and twelve children were born to them, five of whom are now living. Besides his wife and six children, he leaves a brother residing in Norfolk and a sister, Mrs. Haase, at Tilden, nineteen grand-children, four daughters-in-law and six sons-in-law. Mr. Maas had been ill since March and had been confined to his home for a month. He took holy communion with his wife a month ago, Rev. E. Ahrens administering it. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home and at 2:30 from St. Johannes church, Rev. Mr. Raschke of Wisner officiating. Interment will be made in the New Lutheran Cemetery."
