He was a life-long member of the Pentecostals of Alexandria and a former Sunday school teacher. Mr. Ebare was a Sunday school bus route driver for the Pentecostals of Alexandria and their daughter church, Calvary Tabernacle. Ernest was a loving father, grandfather, great-grand father who loved all outdoor activities including, hunting, fishing, camping. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gracie Ebare; one brother, Joel Ebare; two sisters, Virgie Bailey and Vera Carpenter. Ernest Ebare is survived by His wife of 48 years, Roxie Odom Ebare of Alexandria; seven children, Stephanie Wood and husband, Warren of Elmer, E. Preston Ebare, Jr. and wife, Mary of Denham Springs, Darwin Ebare and wife, Stacy of Alexandria, Deborah Ebare of Alexandria, Vivian Brossett of Boyce, Keith D. Ebare and wife, Melissa of Alexandria, Gerald L. Ebare and wife, Rachel of Alexandria; one brother, Edgar Ebare of Deridder; seventeen grandchildren, Kelly Crager Sheffield and Jason Crager, Preston Dakota Ebare, Farren, Lane, and Jordin Ebare, Marissa Tennison, Eric and Matthew Gonzalez, Marissa Gonzalez Rabon; Arielle and Adrianna Brossett, Keaton and Kelby Ebare, Jade Peart, Brett and Logan Ebare; five great-grandchildren. Friends are asked to call from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday at John Kramer & Son and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the Pentecostals of Alexandria. Pallbearers will be: Ernest Preston Ebare, Jr., Floyd Darwin Ebare, Keith Dewayne Ebare, Gerald Lang Ebare, Jason Leon Crager, Gregory Lane Brossett, Eric Roel Gonzalez, and Joe Burnaman.
