Description	:	THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Ernestine Lucille Prime-Taylor was born in Augusta on April 26, 1920, to World War I veteran Ernest Tildan Prime and his wife Beulah Kneeland Prime. Ernestine passed away peacefully on Dec. 23, 2015, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Known to her family and friends as "Tena," she graduated from Cony High School in Augusta in 1940. She was proud to become an Army cadet nurse during World War II, and later graduated from Stanford University earning her registered nursing degree. Read More	THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Ernestine Lucille Prime-Taylor was born in Augusta on April 26, 1920, to World War I veteran Ernest Tildan Prime and his wife Beulah Kneeland Prime. Ernestine passed away peacefully on Dec. 23, 2015, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Known to her family and friends as "Tena," she graduated from Cony High School in Augusta in 1940. She was proud to become an Army cadet nurse during World War II, and later graduated from Stanford University earning her registered nursing degree. Tena spent her entire life working in her nursing career until she retired in California and married her late husband Bobbie Taylor, a retired Navy veteran and aerospace engineer. Tena enjoyed living in Ventura County where she developed many dear friendships. She will be remembered for her love of nursing, gardening, roses, and animals. Tena was predeceased by her two brothers, both World War II veterans, Lloyd Kneeland Prime and Norman Steadfast Prime, and her sister Priscilla Prime - all natives of Augusta. She is survived by her nephew Lloyd Prime and niece Norma Oliver; great-nieces and nephews; and her three stepchildren Jeffrey Taylor, Cynthia Taylor, and Nancy Warner. At her request, she will have a private graveside service and be buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta. (Central Maine Newspapers 1/6/2016)
