The body will be returned here for funeral services and burial and will arrive at the Dowler-Ferguson Funeral Home, Thursday. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The family went to Arizona on June 10, in hope that the climate would be beneficial to Mrs. Tippett's health. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mingus of Millfield. In addition to her husband and two children, she leaves her parents, Herbert and Mabel Mingus, a sister, and a brother, Gordon Mingus at Great Lakes, Ill. Dated: Aug. 29, 1945 CHAUNCEY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Tippett, Chauncey, who died Sunday in a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona are indefinite. The services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock in the Church of Christ at Chauncey or probably Saturday at 2 o'clock it was stated, with the pastor, Rev. Gilbert Courtney officiating. Burial will be in the W. Union St. cemetery, Athens. The body will arrive at the Dowler-Ferguson Funeral home Thursday night and be taken to the family home in Chauncey. Indefinite time for the funeral has been caused by the illness of Mrs. Tippett's small son, who is ill with streptococcus in a Oklahoma hospital. Mrs. Tippett's husband Carroll and the two children and her mother, Mrs. Mabel Mingus, who were enroute home by automobile from Arizona are being held up at the Oklahoma hospital by the child's illness. It was believed ******* would be able to leave the hospital Wednesday. Mrs. Adda Tippett, Chauncey, mother of Carroll Tippett received a telelphone call from him Tuesday telling of this delay.
