Description	:	Ervin D. Kleinsasser, age 90, of Huron, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was at 3 PM Sunday, August 31st, at the Living Hope Alliance Church. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors by the Huron Veterans Council. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors by the Huron Veterans Council. Son of David and Susie (Unruh) Kleinsasser. The family moved to Onida in 1925, where he attended school until 1937, when they moved to a farm east of Huron. On Friday, May, 13, 1945, Ervin married Irene Decker at the Methodist Church in Carpenter. Two weeks later he was drafted into the United States Army Air Force. At the end of basic training five months later, the war had ended, and he was able to return home to the farm south of Cavour. Ervin and Irene purchased their farm and lived there for 50 years until their house burned in 1997, and then moved to Huron. Ervin was baptized at the Huron Mission Church, later named Living Hope Alliance Church, where he was an active member serving as usher for many years, youth leader, and board member. Ervin loved life, family, farming, his cattle, and his Lord and Savior. Surviving him are his wife; son Jerry; they lovingly took in Dick (Jean) Decker, Jeannie (Wayne) Hofer, and Roxanne (Tom) Ford, all of Huron; five grandsons; four granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters;; one sister, Annie (Robert) Oswald of Huron; two sisters-in-law, Verna Kleinsasser and Shirley Clark, both of Huron; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Verna Hein; and three brothers, Rueben, Willard, and Jerome Kleinsasser.
